Illinois Small Business Development Center

Important Update: Due to budget constraints caused by the lack of state funding, the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Joliet Junior College will be closed after June 30, 2016.

During our time with the SBDC, we had the privilege of participating in a variety of businesses from trucking to hair care, food service to consulting. Your enthusiasm and energy was contagious and we enjoyed working with each of you. Thank you for sharing your dreams with us. We also want to thank our stakeholders, particularly Joliet Junior College, for providing the resources needed to serve our SBDC clients. This service could not exist without their support.

We know that many of you will need continued consulting services. Please pursue one of the three options for additional assistance. As with the SBDC at Joliet Junior College, their services are at no charge.

Thank you. We wish you all continued success.

About the SBDC

The Illinois Small Business Development Center at Joliet Junior College (ISBDC) is part of a statewide network of small business resource providers, collaborating with the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO), the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and the Service Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE).

Our mission is to provide free management assistance and advice to aid emerging and existing small businesses as they develop. The center counsels nearly 600 small business and entrepreneurial clients per year by delivering up-to-date counseling, training and technical assistance in many aspects of small business management. Our clients range from start-up through existing businesses that seek ways to improve, develop or finance their organizations.

Developed in cooperation with the U.S. Small Business Administration, the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity, and Joliet Junior College as a service to Illinois businesses under cooperative agreement #SB-2M-00097-15.
